Kane Fails to Report for Training to Force Tottenham Exit
Tottenham Hotspur vice-captain, Harry Kane, has missed his first day of pre-season training in a bid to force his transfer exit.
Kane was granted an extended break, after his participation in the Euro 2020 tournament, but was supposed to report back on Monday, 2 August.
According to reports, the England forward had previously confirmed his intentions to leave, following interest from Premier League giants, such as Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea.
City is reportedly leading the pack, having already made a £100m bid for the England captain.
However, the Lillywhites have turned down the offer, believing that the forward is worth more than £120m, a price which City isn’t eager to honour.
Kane is reportedly angered that, despite the fact that his contract only ends in 2024, he has a “gentlemen’s agreement” with the club’s chairman, Daniel Levy – which should allow him to move.
Kane finished last season as both top scorer and top assists in the Premier League.
